Plan for research

13^th – 17^th September;

I will research into existing school magazines by analysing the front cover of 2 school/college magazines. I will be looking at the colours used, fonts, layout, images, mode of address and conventions.

18^th – 21^st September;

I will look at the contents pages of each of the magazines and analyse all the same aspects as before. I am also going to write a list of conventions of which I find from school/college magazines.

To analyse the magazines I will look at;

Images (symmetrical/asymmetrical), fonts, text, principle of thirds, use of colour, cover lines, language, hotspots, the masthead and finally the terminal area.
