Route of the eye: Typical of most magazines, the route of the eye falls on the route of the eye. Along with this the ‘In this issue...’ also falls on the route of the eye. The main focus of the cover is, however, the image. This image is of students.
Images: The image is the dominating feature of the front cover. It is of three students playing netball. The image is cheery and therefore sets a good feel for the magazine. The age of the students isn’t really shown as you can only see one of them but the image relates to the main cover line.
Layout: The layout of this magazine has been kept simple and minimal, the colours are bright to make it eye catching to the audience. The magazine is aimed at students and parents of students and this layout is fit for all ages.
Main cover line: The main cover line is the only cover line on the front of the magazine, except for the ‘in this issue...’ section. The same colour scheme is used as the whole of the front cover.
Colour scheme: The colour scheme used on this magazine consists of around 3 colours, Red, Blue and white. This choice of colours provides an eye catching colour scheme. It shows a happy school environment.
Masthead: Because the masthead needs to be noticed, a large font is used to attract attention. Around the masthead is the date and issue number to inform readers. There is also the school name for added information.
Terminal optical area: There isn’t anything specific in the terminal optical area, just the corner of the main image used.
This magazine doesn’t have an actual contents page, the only indication as to what is in the magazine is the ‘In this issue...’ section on the front.
